I first encountered Mr. Grey's phenomenal visionary genius in tandem with discovering Tool's album Lateralus (2001), for which A.G. created the artwork. This modern master has inspired the manifold multitudes of people who have seen his work, with all of it's luminous beauty and numinous clarity.
This piece was created for an interview with Alex in Sub Rosa, issue 3.
Excellent tribute to a great artist!!! I first came across his spectacular images back in the spring when I was doing some escoteric research on the net. He definately is a visionary genius.
I can say that alot of what I do was the result of Mr. Grey's stunning work affecting my own life in a tremendous way. Your curvature is very effective through the fine lines.
See the way the eyes barely don't quite follow exactly in tow the surface membrane of the crown? They kind of lift up slightly along the flow. This is a testimony to your own psychedelic maturity, I think. Because, it allows so much more of what I might call a 'dropping point' for the viewer who, becoming enveloped into the motions, has so much more ample space to play and interact with - this happens as they become more and more focused from concrete foreconscious perceptions into a sweet dream-haze lull of the vanishing point within that all seperate ingradiants converge on...always with such synchronized and rich beauty as a result, which you have captured so well here.
